Yup — the *marketing emails* we send once or twice a month get fan mail. (And they bring in thousands in sales, too.) But we didn’t build a dedicated readership by doing what big brands do. Quite the opposite.
Because after reading hundreds of marketing emails, we realized something:
Think about it: If your customers are getting over 100 emails a day, they’re not going to read yours because you used the reader’s first name or a curiosity hook in your subject line. Because every other marketer is doing the same thing..
